Conditioned by the fact that majority of the CSOs in Nigeria are operating mainly in urban areas and focusing on formal rights; Convinced that the work of CSOs in Nigeria ought to be geared towards the empowerment of the majority of Nigerians who are to be found in rural communities.
The Community Action for Popular Participation (CAPP) , being progressive pro-democracy and membership based organization was established as a voluntary, community focused, non-partisan, non-religious, non-ethnic and not for profit organization that shall partner with grassroots communities to bring accountable leadership, community driven dialogue, peace building and participatory development to the people of Nigeria.
